Wedding Seating Chart Maker

Import or paste your guest list, drag guests onto tables, and print a clean seating list. Free, no account, and nothing leaves your browser.

1. Add guests

CSV columns are detected by header: name (or first + last), group, table, meal. See the CSV format.

2. Set up tables

Apply keeps your seated guests; extra tables are added or the last ones removed. Rename any table (e.g. "Head table") on its card.

3. Seat everyone

Drag a name onto a table. On a phone: tap a name, then tap a table. Double-click a name to edit it.

4. Save and print

Your plan is saved in this browser automatically. Nothing is uploaded. The project file lets you move the plan to another device or into the Pro print studio.

Pro print studio: the polished printouts

The free planner gives you a working plan and a plain printed list. The Pro print studio turns the same plan into print-ready pieces for the day itself:

  • Seating display poster: alphabetical with letter headings, or grouped by table. Text sizes itself to fill 18×24, 24×36, 16×20, 11×17, A1, A2, A3, Letter or A4.
  • Table number cards at 5×7 or 4×6 in, with an optional list of who sits there.
  • Escort cards (name + table) and place cards (name only), as tent-fold or flat 3.5×2 in cards, with cut and fold guides.
  • Six themes (classic, script, modern, botanical, gilded, arch), any accent color, optional meal choice on cards.
  • Save each piece as a PDF from your browser's print dialog, or send it straight to your printer.

What you get: one HTML file you keep. It has the full planner plus the print studio, runs offline in any modern browser, and opens the project file you save here. No account and no subscription.

How the free planner works

  1. Add guests. Paste names one per line, or import a CSV exported from your spreadsheet or RSVP list. Add a group such as "Bride's family" or "College friends" so the planner can keep people together.
  2. Set up tables. Choose how many tables and seats per table. Rename any table: "Head table", "Sweetheart", or a name instead of a number.
  3. Seat everyone. Drag names onto tables, or press Auto-seat by group for a first draft and adjust from there. Full tables turn green; overfilled tables turn red and show how many seats you are over.
  4. Print and save. Print a seating list grouped by table plus an alphabetical index for your venue or coordinator, download a CSV, or save a project file to keep working on another device.

Questions

Is the planner really free?

Yes. Adding guests, arranging tables, auto-seating, the printed seating list, CSV export and project files are free with no limit on guests or tables. Only the designed print pieces (poster, table cards, escort and place cards) are in the paid Pro print studio.

Do I need an account? Where is my data stored?

No account. Your plan is kept in your browser's local storage on this device and is never uploaded. Use Save project file to back it up or move it to another computer.

How many guests can it handle?

It is built for weddings of roughly 50 to 250 guests and up to 60 tables, and it works with smaller or larger lists too.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Dragging is awkward on touch screens, so on a phone tap a name to pick it up, then tap the table you want to seat them at.

How do I get the Pro file into my plan?

Click Save project file here, open the Pro file in your browser, and choose Open project file. If you open the Pro file in the same browser, it may already show your plan.

Can I print at a print shop?

Yes. Save the poster as a PDF in the size you need and take the file to any print or copy shop. The display size guide covers sizes and mounting.
